What a great forum! I've been away from birding for about thirty-five years and am easing back into it. In the 80's, all one had was a Peterson field guide and binoculars. Today, wow - Merlin Bird ID on an iPhone, eBird, and bird's eye autofocus cameras. I'm particularly interested in recording bird songs and have played with Merlin Bird ID, and a bit with a Zoom F3 attached to a Sennheiser ME66.
This is a rich forum, so in catching up, I'll read more than I post. I'm very grateful for all the members who have created a community like this and I appreciate the opportunity to participate!
