taken today in the woods on the Hampshire coast. I assure you, no photoshop used in this picture!

You know, having at least a continent to work with would make this easier. But the behavior suggests a parid or a kinglet (if in North America).
 
Very small and nearly impossible to photograph becaue their always moving, (most inconsiderate) makes it a Crest of some sorts, so I'll agree with Goldcrest, although a Firecrest has been seen on Monday at Dungeness, Kent Old England.
