For all you raptor fans I thought I would pass on this happy story about a peregrine falcon that fell to earth with a concussion in Oakland, California, a short while back. There is an active fledgewatch group in the bay area and some falcon aware passerbys managed to seal off the area and rehabilitate the bird. Today they released the young bird back to the wild with, what looks like a radio transmitter.
Glen Nevell was there with his camera. Nice uplifting story. Kinda of funny too. The wildlife center was starting to wonder if the young falcon was going to just sit there and eat and not fly. They had to cut the food back a little while they were taking care of it!
