Hello all,

47 year old married male from Central NY. I have been a bird watcher in the past, thanks to my wonderfull grandmother whom raised me. My wife and I have since moved to a location in a trailer park and are trying to get birds to come and it is just getting winter time. Our birds have seemed to vanish and are going to the trailer next to us which has the cover behind it of a pine tree. Hopefully trying to get hints on how to help them find there way back so we can view them. Looking forward to getting to know some as many of you as we can.:eat:

Hi zynamoon and a warm welcome to you from a former New Yorker. :t:

Try scattering a load of seed on the ground. I think it will bring you a lot of ground feeders in the way of Juncos, different Sparrows and of course Doves and Squirrels. Good luck and please keep us posted.

Welcome to BirdForum! I am sure you will find lots to interest you here, and I hope you enjoy your visits.

Thank you again all, I have a question. In our trailer park in winter most of the trees surrounding out lot loose their leaves. Could there be certain small tree's, maybe 3-5 feet tall I can plant to attract birds that will give them the needed cover they want while feeding?
