Herring Gull or Caspian Gull 29-02024 NW England (3 Viewers)

This is a long shot but please may I request advice if possible please, as I am not knowledgeable about gulls.
I saw this bird today, and although I expected a Herring Gull, I was struck by what I understand to be some features consistent with Caspian Gull.
-The long slender bill.
-a seemingly dark eye.
-the mark at the end of the bill is extending beyond the lower mandible onto the upper mandible.

On the other hand I appreciate it is out of range really for Caspian Gull. Also the legs might not be long enough.

I would be grateful for any comments please, as I would like to improve in Gull id .
