Hi From NW England (1 Viewer)

I started birding when I was 8 years old (around 25 yrs ago I just realised today!). In June after being inspired by reading a book about a couple from Wales who sold everything (house, car) and quit their jobs in order to spend a year birding around the world in the hope of beating the year listing record, I started keeping a proper list. I am up to 80 species so far and spent most of the weekends since the start of June birding.

Being in NW England, I joined Manchester Birding Forum last week but found they have a bit of a strange way of doing things (editing your posts or deleting if you incorrectly spell a bird's name and forcing you to post by your real full name for no real reason!) so I deleted my account there and started one here instead which looks much more welcoming :)

I have also been keeping a blog with photos and a bit of writing about various birding sites I have visited so far in England and Wales:
