Whereabouts Steve?

In recent weeks I have seen Comma, Speckled Wood, Ringlet, Peacock, Painted Lady, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Holly Blue, Large Skipper, Small Skipper and various Whites.

It was on the Blake street side of the reserve in dying vegetation alongside the brook, its the second essex skipper I've had there the other one a couple of years ago in the same sort of area. Definately essex as I got the magnifying glass out to check out the antennae. It was resting on some dying vegetation , should have checked what it was out but just pleased to see one in the 15 minutes doing the butterfly survey , also had various whites,holly & common blue, speckled wood, hedge & meadow brown and a dragonfly in the first field when entering the reserve i couldnt id (not up on my dragonflies,rather small type,need to pay more attention )
