House finch nest, hatchlings gone (1 Viewer)

Hello!
Ok I'm not sure what happened here, but I have a finch nest in my porch wreath, get one or more pretty much yearly. Had 5 eggs, all the same (no cowbirds), all 5 look to have hatched on or by May 2nd. Checked the nest today, May 8, and it's completely empty. No egg pieces around at all, no babies. Any ideas what happened? I don't think they could have fledged in just 8 or so days.
Thank you!
