HUNGARY: BIRD LIST & BRIEF NOTES FROM A BIRDING TOUR; SEPTEMBER 13 - 20, 2008
This week of autumn birding in Hungary started and finished in Budapest and took in the main sites of the Apaj grasslands and fish-ponds the Kiskunsag NP, Lake Tisza, the fish-ponds and grasslands of the Hortobagy NP, deciduous forests in the southern Bukk Hills and sites between these areas on route. The weather was generally fine: there were 2 days with a brief showers and 1 day with mist in the morning until 10am. We spent 2 nights in the Kiskunsag, 3 nights in the Bukk and 2 nights in the Hortobagy. I would like to thank group participants Jan (USA), Pete (USA), Val (USA), Jose (USA).
