A recipe I used for several years has gone missing and my recent efforts to replicate it from my fading memory have not been quite right.

The recipe contained the following but I can’t remember the proportions.

Lard
Peanut Butter
Beef Suet
Cornmeal
Oats
Mixed Bird seed
Raisins or Cranberries (I add both)
Whole Wheat Flower

I add in dried mealworms.

I think I got it from one of these general recipes websites but can’t find it anymore.

Thanks for any advice.

Found it!

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup lard
1/2 cup suet
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup mixed bird seed
1 cup corn meal
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup chopped cranberries or 1 cup raisins.

I also add dried mealworms.

The end result. I use old frozen lasagne containers and stack them in the freezer with a bit of baking sheet between them.

The Woodpeckers like it. Drill a few holes in an old log and they will find it.
