I came across this bird today in Turvey Nature Reserve in Dublin, Ireland. Help with ID would be appreciated!

I could be wrong but my first thought when looking at the picture was 'manky' mallard (domestic mallard)
Probably is a good idea to wait till someone agrees or disagrees before taking it for granted

Thank You BenjiS, It was definitely associating with Mallards, but it seemed to be about 25% bigger than the other birds!!

Thanks Butty - unusual for this location but more wetlands have ben introduced recently, so hopefully there will be more newcomers!
