Then this is rather bizarre, as according to the internet there is only one species of antlion in the UK (Euroleon nostras, found in Suffolk only) - and this isn't one!
 
I think it is more than bizarre. It looks like a perfect match for Heoclisis fundata - an Australian endemic!

Just back on-line. I'd not even looked at the identity of the specimen in question. Perhaps this chap in Nuneaton has been on holiday?
A strange one. Any more detail on the photographer?
