Hi, I saw this raptor sitting on the fence while I was driving from Mt Diamond to Port Moresby. Could this be a Brown Goshawk?

The rufous on the hindneck and slightly rounded tail look promising, Variable is the other possibility here, would be good to see the underparts

Unfortunately, could not get any photo of the underparts. Attached is another photo but looks almost similar to the earlier one.

The rufous on the neck eliminates Variable, so go with Brown Goshawk
