My best guess would be one of the Whiptails. I lean toward a Tiger Whiptail [Aspidoscelis (Cnemidophorus) tigris]. Hope this helps?

It's Western Whiptail (Aspidoscelis tigris) There are a number of described sspp, but differences are minor and technical. Where in Utah was it?

From that part of Utah it would be a Painted Desert Whiptail (A. t. septentrionalis) And on detailed examination of your clearly detailed picture it does agree with that ssp. (Four clearly defined dorsal stripes reaching almost to the tail base, with an additional well defined lateral stripe, hind legs and sides marked with rounded light spots, stripes clearly yellow, if you're interested in that kind of detail. The other Utah possibility, A. t. tigris, Great Basin Whiptail, has the grayish white dorsal stripes becoming obscure with age, and a reticulated network of dark marks on the hind legs and sides. And no, that's not much difference.)
