IE7 final release may be on 18th October (1 Viewer)

It looks like IE7 will be released for manual download on 18 October 2006.

which also has some tips on installation such as turning off internet access after downloading, turning off AV and other anti-malware products during installation while internet access is disabled.

I don't know if Michael W has inside knowledge or if he is just guessing, but elsewhere it has been said that IE7 will be in the mid November automatic updates as an option.

Firefox 2.0 also seems near to final release, maybe early next year.

Firefox 2 beta is already available, I am holding off till I get my new computer before I install it.
