Tart's tick, U!

But a lovely composition of said bird. Now, get back to posting.

Chuckle..!

You are right H2....i should get back to posting and you've reminded me that i have more images to tinker with...so i'll get right on them....[unless another rare bird distracts me]...:smoke:

ps...glad the Crane pic appeals to you....i kinda like the way its looking away towards the horizon....it gives it a certain 'something'....[in my daft mind anyway]...;)

Now these are a tad abstract and probably unfinished...:smoke:

I took photos of a broken windscreen which lay on the floor next to the wreck of a car which some 'hoon' had deemed fit to dump on my local patch...!

The structure of the glass reminded me of dragonflies...and birds...[in fact the pix remind me of one bird in particular now]....:cat: ;)

Cheers Ken/Mike...!

I do not possess an ounce of Nicks artistic talent but i do share his 'views' it seems...:cat:

I like the collision of ideas and the whole 'creation from destruction' thing...man made machinery V nature....etc...

Sometimes something like a Phoenix rises from the flames...:cat:

by the way on subject of living decorating the dead, did you see the less widely published pic of the North Ron Lesser Kestrel

near dead LK atop sheep skulls (makes them often seen pics of Carmine Bee-eaters on buffalo skulls seem very yesterdays cliche)

http://northronbirdobs.blogspot.com/2011/09/21st-september.html

I hadn't seen that Lesser Kes pic Ed...now that is a striking composition and would make a wonderful painting...

ps..i wish it was my pic...so much could be done with it..:cat:

You'll need someone with a crane to remove it!

That Crane is getting about a bit H2....shame it missed stopping over at Rutland Water...!

ps..am only online for limited time at the mo as my antivirus system...Avast...keeps telling me that BF is infected...:eek!:

Apparently it isn't tho...and i hope the tech people at BF get this site de-black listed soon as its a bit of a pain...

More images will undoubtedly follow in due course...:cat:

Glad you liked that IZ vid Neil....i thought it kinda 'special'..! Apart from being an incredible rendition of 'Over the Rainbow' i really like the underlying message of not going on 'appearances'...:cat:

You never know where beauty lurks...! :t:

Yes indeed, it's been one of my favourites for a while now. I kept hearing it on adverts & film clips but didn't know who it was till a couple of years ago. It just edges Eva Cassidy's cover, top song.

Just a few recent 'bits' in no particular order...[plus experimental diverse tinkering]...etc

ps....i think the occurrence of a penguin on my local patch is probably due to global warming...;) I hope someone picks him up...washes him down and gives him a new home...!

I wouldn't dream of doing such a thing...[chuckle]...!..[i just liked the surreal nature of the penguin]...'out of place' etc....:cat:

Anyways...i've been a tad remiss not posting much of late so here's a fly that caught my eye...

...and the fly was caught up in the world wide web....[like we all are at times]...;)
