in and around south tyneside (5 Viewers)

Heavy overnight rain rose water levels on Boldon Flats today and with it, increase in bird life. Today we had 3 Green Sandpiper, 2 Greenshank, 4 Ruff, Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Dunlin, several Snipe active in this mornings rain, c100 Lapwing, c150 Greylag, 2 Shoveler, 1 Wigeon, several scattered Teal, Little Grebe and Little Egret. Lesser Whitethroat in mixed Tit flock.
