Small numbers of geese have been roosting on the Flats in recent weeks, while ice free, coming in after dusk and leaving before dawn and are probably Pink-Feet. The usual Greylag flock got spooked and left a month ago or so with jjust odd ones since. Adam can you send me a text as I've lost your number.

Has anyone come across any waxwings in the area yet?

There was 10 yesterday on Western Rd Jarrow. Didn't stay long. Afew minutes later several were sighted near Temple Park. They then moved near the Grey Hen Pub. Early today 12 were sighted near the nook roundabout. Probably the same ones. Very flighty though.
