In October 2012, I visited Okhla Bird Sanctuary, New Delhi on two occasions. I have written a full report with details on how to get there, links to maps and photos, a log of both days and a full systematic list.
The sanctuary is only an hour or so from the city centre and is a worthy day out for anyone with time to kill in the city. Over 320 species of bird have been recorded in this predominately wetland habitat. In two half-days, I saw 86 species, including a couple of easy lifers - Large Grey and Striated Babblers.
As I have already written and formatted the document as a PDF file, I hope you don't mind reading it as an attachment.
Mark.
