Kestrel breeding season 2021 (1 Viewer)

This is a compilation of the kestrel breeding season 2021 . It shows the complete cycle from egg to the first flight of the juveniles.

Nesting took place in a nestbox , hanging on the top of our barn.

A couple of jackdaws were also trying to breed in the same nestbox , but were driven off by the kestrels.

This resulted in some remarkable shots .

Location : Belgium Sint-Laureins East Flanders

Greetings,

Thanks for posting! Really interesting compilation. Just debating with myself if I would replace one of the stolen chicks and a hand appeared replacing a chick. Two fledged - not so bad.
