Looks good. Do you have an underwing shot of the wingtip also?
Interesting. From location and timing, I would have immediately gone for Armenian Gull and not given it a second look.

Be interested in your reasoning. I am not sure I have heard much on the status of Steppe Gull in Israel either on Med or Red Sea
 
Muppit, Israel seems to get Steppe Gulls (regular migrant northern Red Sea) but pic is blurred by taiga zone heuglini-hybrids which can look very similar. Some Steppe Gull types overwinter even on Crete.
Thanks, Orvany, for the new pic, p10 tongue is also in line with barabensis.
