Mirafra apiata adendorffi Roberts, A 1919 OD here

The Eponym Dictionary of Birds
Adendorff's Clapper Lark Mirafra apiata adendorffi JA Roberts, 1919 NCR [NUI Mirafra apiata apiata]
We know that Adendorff was a South African collector who worked with the describer, but Roberts gave no etymology in his description. We think the person in question may have been Johannes Hendrik Georg Adendorff (1876–1918).

The Key to Scientific Names
Adendorff (fl. 1917) South African collector with Austin Roberts (cf. Beolens et al. 2014, "may have been Johannes Hendrik Georg Adendorff (1876-1918)") (syn. Mirafra apiata).

Why not him? But note that in 1928 in The Bateleur here Austin Roberts (why JA Roberts, 1919? See what we discussed here) mentioned a A. A. Adendorff from 9.th September 1917. So I doubt Johannes Hendrik Georg Adendorff. As well here

Chaetopus capensis
A single egg picked up amongst some scrub at Lormarins, Frenchhoek Valley, C,P" in September, 1917, by A. A. Adendorff, This cannot be of anything but the Cape Pheasant.

Who he was I have no idea yet.

See as well v.6-7 (1917-1921) - Annals of the Transvaal Museum - Biodiversity Heritage Library , in the same journal as the OD, which mentions the holotype of a new lizard Zonurus robertsi, with the details:
Locality: Klaver, van Rhynsdorp Dist., C.P. Collected by Messrs A. Roberts and A. A. Adendorff, Sept. 1917.

The holotype of the lark was "taken on the tableland, several thousand feet above the Olifants River at Klaver", on 26 Sep 1917 fide Dean (2007, Ann. Transvaal Mus., 44: 102).
