Morning Dove egg found! (1 Viewer)

I have a pair of morning doves in a tree in front of my house. There is an egg that is intact laying right at the bottom of the trunk. Both mom and dad are in the nest. Do I leave the egg alone, try to put it back while they are in the nest or try and wait for a time when they are not in the nest?

I agree with Moose on this.

I’ve left it alone and mom and dad seem to be fine in their nest. We scatter some seed under the tree every morning. I hope they find our home theirs for a good long time.
