Saw your other post and thought Mark is doing wonderful carvings since I hadn’t seen your posts in awhile. This one, however, is absolutely stunning! You achieve so much detail and authenticity it astounds me. Congratulations on the wins!

I wouldn't know it was a carving if I stepped on it... which would be a pity because it's really beautiful. I like the texture of the branch, and congratulations!
 
A question- is the moss real? I can't tell. I would probably ask the same of the bird if I didn't guess it was the main subject of the carving and therefore carved.
