Mystery bird, Utah, USA (1 Viewer)

I'm puzzled by this bird from Bear River Refuge in Utah yesterday.

It's a female (most probably Ring-necked?) Pheasant.

Thank you both. I thought it must be a pheasant but I was thrown by the fact that it was wandering about in the water. I didn't think that pheasants went in water!

Yup, looks like a wet hen ringneck. You are right, very rare to see them wading in the water...
