Namibia - Marsh Sandpiper / Greenshank (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have an unknown wader from Avis Dam in central Namibia. I'm leaning toward Marsh Sandpiper due to what I perceive to to be a needle-like straight bill that is a single color. Additionally, the bird was very close to a Ruff and appeared about the same size, if not a bit smaller, which would suggest Marsh. A Greenshank would be noticeably larger than the Ruff, I think?

Definitely Greenshank. Bill to thick for Marsh, white forehead while Marsh Sandpiper has a dark cap effect with a whitish supercilium.

Okay, thanks. I've never seen a Marsh Sandpiper before, so it might have been some hopeful thinking.
