Confused on this one. Believe it is a Yellow- crowned. Help is appreciated.

Looks like a juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron to me.

Its a black crowned night heron- yellow crowned night heron have fine white spots and a mostly dark bill. The structure of the bird is also wrong for a yellow-crowned.

Black-crowned night-heron: bill-shape/-colour, lack of narrow white edge to side of greater coverts.
