I have a huge green caterpillar eating my Schubert chokecherry. I believe it’s a Polyphemus moth. He is big and bright and a bit fearless - stands up to greet me 😳

I’m hoping I’ll be lucky enough to see him emerge in his hand size grandeur. Then off he’ll be into the night to find his lady love…
