Officially Summertime....yet, you'd be hard pushed to tell from the weather at Riverside Nature Park on the 1st of April....

Nope, Summertime officially starts June 20th.
When the clocks go forward an hour, "British Summer Time" officially begins - which is the context referred to in my post, and why it says summer time/summertime, rather than just summer. There's a difference between the start of "summer time" (incorrectly typed above by me, in my haste, without a space) and 'Summer' (which is what you are referring to). I've amended the wording of the post above so that it is even clearer which is being referred to, than it already was.
