I spent an hour or so today with this bird which did the decent thing & swam along the entire opposite shore of the reservoir to spend some time in the near corner to where I was standing. A series of pictures as a result. Four posts of 5 pics.

I made the long journey down from Cheshire to see this lovely bird and wasn’t disappointed. It was a very cold day with clear blue skies and the diver obliged with some very close views.
