Hi!
I heard a bird calling in the Black Forest which sounded like Pale Rock Finch. At first a short "zick" and than that characteristic long humming sound.
It was in coniferous forest with clearings (Pygmy Owl territory).
I didn´t see it sitting, but only flying away. I can tell it was sparrow-sized, but nothing else.
I know PRF from several occasions in Turkey. I also compared the call with the Schulze/Dingler MP3. Sounded exactly like that.
So my question is: Do anyone have any idea which native bird could have produced that sound?
Cheers!
P.S.: I hate forest, gimme a desert
