Peter Abrams website on the wayback machine (2 Viewers)

Hi everybody,

since Peter Abrams most useful website on antique telescopes and binoculars - formerly reachable under http://www.europa.com/~telscope/ - has gone offline sometimes in 2023 and I have since spent some precious time to find it on wayback machine on numerous occasions, here is the new link to the index:

Unlike before the index is now on multiple pages which you have to click through. Also the wayback machine has multiple copies of each page from different points in time, you get to an intermediate page which shows a time beam beam with the number of copies taken each year after clicking on any link. You can then choose a year on the time beam and then look on the calendar of that year and click on any of the copies marked in light blue on the calendar to see that copy. Don't bother with dates marked green, these indicate redirects which for this case usually don't work.

Since the pages were not updated any more since Peters passing in 2018, any copy later than that, will be "current". I got a redirect loop for some very late copies from 2023 - in that case just use the back button of your browser until you got to the time beam again and choose an earlier copy.

Here is a link to Peters Biography on the website of the Antique Telesscope Society (which is very interesting too - Antique Telescope Society)

Cheers,

Joachim
