I am leaning towards Meadow Pipit for both subjects, however, the bird on the wire appears to have a very short hind claw, and the bird on the ground does have fine flank streaking. There were other definite Meadow Pipits in the area, but Tree Pipit have also been reported as passing through.

I'm leaning towards Tree Pipits - hindclaw on first looks very short, and leg colour on second is strongly pink (looks similar on first also though not as obvious due to lighting).

Thanks Barry. They seem to have come in with a pile of Wheatear and Whinchat.
