... Went along to the new hide today, rebuilt courtesy of lots of hard work by RSPB folks, financial support from BHP Billiton. Not a huge amount on view, though these guys turned up:

- A lonely Brent Goose;
- Starlings
- Skylark
- Sparrowhawk being mobbed by a crow;
- Merlin, just missed a Skylark right over the hide, then sat back on his post;
- Buzzard sat on the fence in the gas terminal
- Redshank
- Curlew
- Oystercatcher
- Knot
- Shellduck
- Mallard
- Pintail
- Little Egret
- Various Gulls, Blackback, Blackheaded and Herring
and Richard Cranium and his dog...... :C

I'm sure I've missed some off the list. Here's a few pics...

I should have added....

It was very nice to see everybody and a priviledge to be there for the grand opening. I hope the hide is there for many years, providing lots of enjoyment for all.

Cheers!
