Red-Shouldered Hawks Nesting (1 Viewer)

Red-Shouldered Hawks have been regulars around our yard for years.

This spring a pair decide to build a nest about 150 ft. from our home.

Before the leaves came onto the trees, I could see their nest by looking over my shoulder sitting here at the computer.

3 chicks hatched a while back, and have lost most all their downy feathers.

They are now venturing out onto limbs around the nest, and occasionally trying their wings.

It has been great watching them build a nest and raise the young.

I took the attached photo with my cell phone on 10x from my back porch doorway.
