Hi all...

Apologies that the birds are sleeping in this picture making life harder but I was confidently told these two sleeping waders were Spotted Redshanks.

They look like Common Redshanks to me.

Can anyone please confirm either way and, as usual- I'm grateful to learn any tips and tricks.

You were confidently mis-informed. Common Redshank indeed!

A bit more helpfully... spotted redshank normally has purer-grey upperparts and longer pinker legs.
