Dear all,

I am happy to share with you that registration for the meeting in Malaga is now open. The registration form and further details can be found on the meeting's website www.sape2020.com. Please address all queries regarding the meeting to [email protected].

Many of you have been asking about student travel grants for this meeting. Three travel grants were awarded back in 2019, and we can now confirm that, regrettably, there will be no further grants awarded to attend this meeting.

Best wishes,

Vanesa De Pietri
SAPE Secretary

Today I recei8ved the next information on the Sape meeting this year in Malaga, Spain:

Dear all,

With only a few weeks left before the meeting, we wanted to share with you our list of nominees for the Executive Council and Vice-President roles (see below), as well as issue a few reminders:

1. Only voting (i.e., paying) members of the Society are allowed to vote. You can check here Members – Society of Avian Paleontology and Evolution if this applies to you. It takes three people to keep this list up to date, so mistakes do happen! If you are not on this list but think you should be, please get in touch.

2) Members will be voting at the Stated Business Meeting on 1) an amendment to the SAPE Constitution to move meetings from a four- to a three-year cycle, 2) Executive council and VP positions (see below), and 3) the venue for the next SAPE meeting.

3) We are still looking for proposals from individuals and/or organisations interested in hosting our next meeting. You can either bring a PPT slide or presentation to the meeting or you can forward your proposal to me or Luis Chiappe. Proposals can be put forward in the absence of a member!

4) Please remember to bring items for the auction!

The selection process for Executive Council nominations has been outlined in our recent newsletters. Details can be found here Newsletters – Society of Avian Paleontology and Evolution under "call for nominations".
