I think this is painted-lip lizard Calotes ceylonensis but it is a lot paler than most of the photos I have seen which generally show it to be brownish. Any thoughts appreciated.

Photo in the field guide much browner than both of ours, as are most of the ones on the internet, but I think you're right it is one. It is amazing how different many of the reptiles and amphibians were from the field guides. Pre internet, and without the help of Dulan, I think I would have only identified a small proportion through 'old school' field guide searching.
