Small Brown Birds in Phoenix, AZ (1 Viewer)

Still having trouble with the "small brown songbirds" category. They all look too much alike for me. However, having about.com's awesome 'birds of Phoenix' to cross-reference against my field guide is helpful. I have identified birds 2 & 3 as House Sparrows. 1 & 4 are mysteries to me. I think they are the same type of birds even though the pics were taken in two different places ( #1 my apartment in Mesa and #2 Gilbert Riparian Park). Sorry about the horrible quality of the photos. I need a new camera.

1-3 are House Sparrows. 1 is a female, 2 & 3 are males. #4 is a Northern Mockingbird.

Thanks! I had a suspicion that #1 might have been a female sparrow, but I never would have gotten #4
