Title says it all. I recently purchased my first personal sound recorder in the form of a Tentacle Track E.
When searching for mic and recorder recommendations I trawled through BirdForum and xeno-canto, thought I'd start a simple thread for anyone who is considering this device. Am just an enthusiastic novice so I might not be able to answer technical questions, but feel free to ask on.
Attaching two sound recordings of a flock of Asian Glossy Starlings. One from an Olympus LS12 and one from the Tentacle Track E (see file titles). Both taken with a Sennheiser MKE600 one minute apart. No edits made apart from normalising to -3dB using Audacity. Sorry in advance if you hate the low-mid frequency noise, sound recording in Singapore is quite painful.
