Spotting Scope Eyepieces (1 Viewer)

Hello: Nice to “meet” everyone. Thanks for your time. My spotting scope goes to 48 magnification. Just got an eyepiece that doubles the magnification. How do you maintain sight of the bird when you switch eyepieces? Do I need some sort of additional spotting tool? A better tripod with little “give”? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you. Ale
