Both seen in Nairobi in January 2019:
(1) Sunbird - most likely eastern or northern double-collared sunbird. Both seem to be present in Nairobi. Distinguishing features per Fanshawe & Stevenson seem to be width of the breast band and color of head, which has me leaning toward Northern, due to more blue-green hue and large-ish breast band, but curious if others have an easier time telling these apart.
(2) Raptor - no idea. We frequently see long-crested eagle and african harrier-hawk in this area, but this bird didn't obviously fit the bill for either (unless it's a juvenile). Any guesses?
Thanks in advance!
