There are some characteristics of this design.
1. Rigidity
I have tested in last two days.
This device is quite rigid.
No shutter release cable is required in good light condition.
It is good enough for taking fast moving or even flying birds.
2. Alignment
Each camera is attached to a short quick release plate.
The alignment works have been done in advance.
That is no adjustment work is required when exchange my G1 to 8400.
It takes just a few seconds.
3. Bird watching
When the camera together with the quick release plate is taking down,
the scope can be used for normal bird watching.
And it takes just a few seconds also.
4. Backpack
I want to put everything in my backpack as before.
That is the whole stuff cannot be too long.
To fulfill this requirement, the red dot sight and the camera can be
taking out from the device.
5. Red dot sight
The red dot sight is located just above the EVF of the camera.
It shortens the time to locate the birds a little bit.
6. Drop down of the camera
I had once dropped my camera down from the DCA.
To protect my camera from dropping down, I have included a locking
device in the short quick release plate.
In addition, a metal chain is used to connect the camera to the device.
7. Portrait format
Portrait format is not OK for this set up.
