New TV series with David Attenborough called The Green Planet starts on the Sunday 9th January 2022 on BBC 1 and the new series is about the plant world. I should have put BBC 1 in the title of this thread. My mistake sorry. I can’t change that now in the title of this thread now. Sorry!

Should be good. Plants, excluding gardening programmes, get so little TV attention compared to the animal world.

During the behind the scenes section, did you notice how loud the cicadas were in the background? I've heard people say tropical places can be really loud and this is the first time I'd really noticed it.

When I was in Botswana we drove past one site & for a minute as we passed them, it was truly painful to the ears the loudness of the cicadas. It's the only place where I've encountered them that loud.
