Saw this beetle this morning, 20.05.23, and grateful for an Id.

No expert but it possibly Cicindela hybrida? Don‘t know if it occurs in the area

Looked it up - not in Spain but from France eastwards. English name "northern dune tiger beetle". There is a species Cicindela littoralis which is here but the spots don't look quite right.

Cephalota maura has been suggested to me and the pics look right. Apparently 23 species of tiger beetle in the Spanish territories!

I agree , quite a handsome species , I have searched many times for this little beauty with no luck , good find and image.

This was at roughly 36.877325, -4.715422 where the arroyo de las Piedras flows (sometimes) into the Guadalhorce river. Seen a few interesting things along the arroyo!
