Tufted puffin in the UK! (1 Viewer)

scary-canary

Canaries forever... and i'm not always scary, some
Just seen this cruise advertised in the latest RSPB magazine, touring the islands of Shetland, Faroe and the Hebrides. Sounds like a great cruise but I wonder if some of the UK's top twitchers would be prepared to pay the £3200 costs in order to see one of the birds used to illustrate the article (see below).
Wonder if the cruise organisers have some suppressed knowledge or are just hoping for the tuftie?
As the words say "It is the unscheduled events that often become the highlight" Certainly would!
;)

Its not the first time that Noble Caledonia have mentioned some bizarre birds in their adverts although they don't usually illustrate them! They need an ornithological consultant,or perhaps they should liase with the naturalist guide they employ on the trip before advertising it.

They need an ornithological consultant..

And a geographical one! "...we explore the remote islands at the tip of South Uist, which are all uninhabited including Mingulay and Pabbay."

I doubt if the inhabitants of Eriskay and Barra will be all that thrilled to learn they live on uninhabited islands!;)

[The uninhabited "Barra Islands" lie south of Barra and Vatersay which are a bit further away than "at the tip of" South Uist!]
