Poxy Aesculapian Snakes didn't show for me and James today. Never mind....

I had a Brown Rat ambling confidently under the shrubbery, and some fledged Mandarin juveniles on the canal.

I also had the year's second House Mouse at Camden Town, Southbound Platform 4.

Next time!

Ah... he's not from ZSL whose official line is that there are no snakes.

He did admit that they are difficult and he doesn't see them on every trip despite recognising 40 individuals and knowing the best places to look. Persistence is the answer my friends.

As for the conditions he felt that today could hardly be bettered.

Just the luck of the draw.

Now I must go to bed, I'm getting up at three to go to Minsmere.

G'night all.

Crikey, this thread has been dormant for a fair while. Well, this will liven it up. Not.

Sutcliffe Park, Eltham, SE London: 1 Yellow-bellied Slider, 3 Red-eared Slider today. (Presumably the same individuals as 2012, but the first time I've seen them this year.)

Yes, I am indeed living the dream.

James
