FLASHES: Dunlin (2), Lapwing (103), Curlew (5), Shoveler (8), Teal (5), Shelduck (1), Raven, Rook (6), Kestrel, Linnet (10) + Black Swan, G C Grebe (6), Greylags (114), Little Grebe (1) at the Sailing Pool.

MOORS (Contractors on site): Snipe (1), Shelduck (3), Pochard (5), Gadwall (2), Teal (9), Shoveler (1), Tufted Duck (13), Little Egret (1), Water Rail (2), Kestrel, Song Thrush.

Bittern at the Moors Pool this morning as per AJP, most recently in the northeast corner. Please note that contractors are on site.

The Bittern at Moors...possible sighting 1.15pm dropping into edge of reeds in front of West Hide. East hiders might confirm.
Water Rail in left channel from West hide at 1.35 an 2 in cut channel at end of causeway at 3.40pm.

No further sign of Bittern until dusk. Doesn't mean it has departed, although it may do so tonight. Otherwise, a bit quiet (although at least 58 species seen today) & a bit frozen.
