A new second summer Med Gull (sporting a yellow leg ring) and the hybrid gull were reported earlier in the afternoon

If the ringed bird reappears and someone can get a reading it will be much appreciated - from memory yellow ringed Meds tend to come from schemes in the Low Countries and France.

My bad - ringing schemes for Med Gulls using yellow rings are based in Germany, Sweden, Ireland and Britain. We have only had only yellow ringed Med before - back in 2009 - which came from a scheme in Langstone Harbour, Hampshire (our only British ringed Med record).

I now have the history of another ringed gull, a Black-headed Gull sporting white leg ring TLVY which was noted at the Flashes on the 7th August 2014:

10/06/2012 - Zbiornik Przykona, Radyczyny, Turek, Wielkopolskie, POLAND - ringed in the nest
07/08/2014 - Upton Warren Nature Reserve, Worcestershire, UNITED KINGDOM
21/08/2014 - River Severn, Priding, Gloucestershire, UNITED KINGDOM
24/09/2016 - Rushy Pen, WWT Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, UNITED KINGDOM
22/09/2017 - River Severn, Epney, Gloucestershire, UNITED KINGDOM

The only birds I am now awaiting responses for all come from the Cotswold Water Park.

Thanks Phil can I use that on my Twitter to send to the Trust....:t: john
Myself and Andy P did have one group walking down to the Flashes we pointed out to them that they were not on a right of way and the correct route for them to take, they went back and actually climbed the fence into the transmitter field, we did check and they haven't damaged the fence.

With pleasure. Reading Phil W 's post about the Flashes path I think I know where the problem originates from. Will email you tonight.

Just to confirm the group I met were walking the public footpath along the Salwarpe which is where I took the original tweet to mean.

Mega awesome work done by the volunteers on the North Moors.
