Today's work party North Moors

Thanks to all 17 of the crew for todays great effort
Great to see Peter Evans again and welcome to Ian a newbie.
SEASONAL POOL:
We continued the opening up of this area cutting down the 4 year growth of willows and alders that had completely closed up the west side of the pool. Once these had been removed a good length of blackthorn was revealed..we will be making a low screen viewpoint overlooking the area.

NORTH WEST SCRUB
We continued opening up a patch of tall leggy mostly dead blackthorn on the NW side of the trail.
This work will help the scrub become thicker and better for nesting and in time a healthier berry crop.
This will take a couple of years to materialise so initially it will look a bit drastic..

Thanks to Alan D, Andy A, Bob G, Bobby P, Charles, Ellen A, Ian B, Ian ( newbie), Jim B, Julie W, Keith M, Kim W, Paul M, Peter E, Ray C, Steve S and me
Thanks to Ellen and Andy A for cake:eat:
